Motivations, barriers and readiness factors for Quality 4.0 implementation: an exploratory study

Purpose Quality 4.0 is the new buzzword among quality professionals. There has been no empirical study of yet. Hence, purpose this paper to investigate what are motivations, barriers and readiness factors for implementation. Design/methodology/approach This uses an online survey on senior professionals working in leading companies Europe America. In total, 50 participants participated study. Findings finds top five motivating, These ranked terms order importance as perceived by Research limitations/implications first that investigates motivation, 4.0. provides a theoretical base body knowledge its practical relevance adoption modern-day organizations. Practical implications Organizations can use understand motivation implementing addition, before implementation 4.0, factor be used organizations evaluate their preparedness actual initiative. Originality/value captures viewpoints
